Our approach to residental energy efficiency

Homeowners can make the right 
decisions to invest into the energy 
efficiency of their building if there is a mediating agent or organization that can facilitate these discussions among homeowners.

In several countries homeowner
associations have serious representation
and credibility issues towards other stakeholders; at the same time
homeowners lack the trust in working
with municipality and banks.

Energy poverty is a severe form of poverty housing. High energy bills are caused by
high energy prices, bad insulation of buildings, but also bad consumption 
habits and outdated equipment.


CO2 emissions are expected to rise 70% by 2030 and even 140% by 2050 leading to irreversible changes in the global climate 
and environment. However energy 
efficiency is one of the most promising 
ways to battle climate change globally.


The decreased pollution and a better 
indoor climate means fewer health issues 
and increased worker productivity. Energy efficiency retrofits tend to increase the average room temperature, which helps prevent energy-poverty related diseases 
and mortality.

Over the past 15 years energy prices have been continuously increasing. Families 
living in old buildings spend extensive amounts of money on heating - as much 
as 30-40% during winter. However a refurbished building saves on the tenant energy bill every month.

Heating represents 70% of all energy consumption in the residential sector and therefore holds great potential for 
savings. Implementing energy efficiency measures is the way to achieve 
significantly lower energy consumption 
and reduce overall heating costs.

Energy saved thanks to efficient 
distribution and thermal optimisation in 
the residential sector can be alternatively used improve the general welfare of the community. It can even help to power new ventures on the local or regional level.

The ultimate goal of energy efficient construction is environmental protection through a systematic reconstruction of existing buildings and adding adequate thermal insulation to new ones. Comprehensive programmes also 
improve the aesthetics of the living space.
