Upon the request of Habitat for Humanity International, Metropolitan Research Institute (MRI) has completed an in-depth research of energy efficiency renovation subsidy schemes in Central European countries (Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia) and assessed the potential of Bosnia & Herzegovina and Armenia for introduction of similar programs.

Habitat for Humanity took part in an EU sponsored conference Energy Leaders Summit in Madrid. During the round table on Awareness Raising in the Community the REELIH project was presented, showcasing benefits of the people-centered approach to building renovation.

In line with the REELIH project, Habitat for Humanity worked with Metropolitan Research Insitute to conduct a study on Central and Eastern European countries having an experience with large scale renovations of multi-apartment buildings.

The Sixth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development was held in Yerevan, Armenia, Octiber 2015. The Forum was organized by the Government of Armenia, UNDP Armenia, UNECE and Habitat for Humanity International.

Habitat for Humanity participated and presented at one of Europe’s largest annual conferences on energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as a global meeting place for the sustainable energy community.
