One of Europe’s largest annual conferences on energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as a global meeting place for the sustainable energy community.
Six specialized conferences offered the opportunity to learn about current trends in the sustainable energy world. The conference attracted around 700 participants from 57 countries; mainly EU member states were present.
Out of these 6 conferences 2 conferences concentrated also on energy efficiency in buildings-the European Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Conference and Energy Efficiency Services Conference, where the discussion was mainly on Energy Union and EU related directives such as Energy efficiency Directive, Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and its revisions and implementations.
Our partners Maarten De Groote from BPIE and Julien Dijol from Housing Europe held presentations during the conferences.
Parallel to the sessions, a so-called poster exibition was held, where all practitioners had a chnace to present their projects related to sustainable energy. Habitat for Humanity took a chance and we presented the USAID’s Residential Energy Efficiency for Low Income Households (REELIH) project in its complexity. We presented our common model of so-called eco-system of stakeholders that is needed in order to create a working market for resiendtial energy efficiency renovations.
