Energy Poverty Days in Brussels organized by Social Innovation to Tackle Energy Poverty

Energy Poverty Days are organized by an initiative called Social Innovation to Tackle Energy Poverty. The Energy Poverty Days will be a two day conference. Day one is dedicated to a discussion of cross-sectoral perspectives on tackling energy poverty. The second day is reserved for finalists' presentations of smart solutions in their project in front of international jury who will choose the winning project for each of the five country. Most successful and winning projects will be awarded with additional grant for further development.

Financing the future of buildings in Central, Eastern and South-East Europe: a new study by BPIE

Improving living conditions in Romania: national subsidy schemes supporting energy efficient renovations

Romania's subsidy scheme for residential energy efficiency renovations resembles a lot the system implemented in Hungary. However, initially it did not work well, so certain adjustments to the structure and sources of subsidies had to be made.

Residential Energy Efficiency for Low-income Households project is one of the many assistance projects supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Since 1992, the American people through USAID have provided a broad range of development programs in Armenia, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, shifting from an initial humanitarian emphasis to assistance for economic, political and social transition.
